With Gentle Hair Removal, a laser pulse delivers a controlled amount of therapeutic heat into your skin, safely and effectively damaging the hair follicles in the targeted area. This cryogen quickly evaporates, cooling the outer layers of the skin. Using electrolysis, light and dark hair on most areas of the body can be safely removed. The technique uses electricity to remove individual hairs from the face and body. A very fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle and the hair is removed. As the growth-producing area is destroyed, hair cannot regrow from that source.
The use of high-frequency treatments has been proven highly effective in removing whiteheads (milia) and donut-like bumps. With this procedure the high frequency energy is absorbed by the targeted area, the temperature is raised and the whitehead and/or bump melts away. These bumps and whiteheads are more prevalent in older individuals but the treatment is acceptable for all ages.
Most areas of the body can be treated with electrolysis including the eyebrows, face, abdomen, thighs, breasts and legs. There are generally no permanent side effects, though a temporary, slight reddening of the skin may occur.
